“Return to the Magic Cornfield” takes place a year after her first adventure where she writes about her experiences in the guise of a children’s fantasy novel. When a small group of her third grade students realize that the stories she has been reading to them are in fact real, they secretly seek to find the key that will take them to the mysterious world. When Heather finds out what they have done, she goes back into the magic cornfield to bring them out, for the realm can be both pleasant and dangerous.
“Into the Magic Cornfield” is about a lovely young elementary teacher named Ms. Heather Hazelkind who takes her young students on a field trip to Hagglehoff Farm in rural Nebraska. While the class tours the farm on a wagon, she accidentally falls out into the cornfield and quickly realizes she is in a mysterious realm in the form of a giant maize prairie full of strange and interesting creatures and situations. Heather must find her way out of the cornfield to get back home.
